10 Reasons you might consider a Breville Oracle as your next investment!

2018 was when my Oracle arrived (not to be confused with THE Oracle, but close…) and since then I’ve made THOUSANDS of coffees with her! With a couple of decent services and filter cleans, the Oracle has been an unrelenting force in my mornings… (Except the three times (Yes, I remember them well) when I’d underestimated my remaining coffee beans and had been confronted with the whine of death - the sound your coffee grinder makes when it’s half way through a grind and runs out. Anyway, I need to plan better!

Here’s me willing warmer weather our way! 🔥

I’ve come up with a list of ten reasons you might consider putting the Breville Oracle in your kitchen.

Café-quality results at home – Dual boiler, PID temperature control, and 58 mm commercial-style group head give you barista-level espresso without leaving the kitchen.

  1. Automatic grinding, dosing & tamping – Built-in conical burr grinder measures and tamps for you, cutting down on mess and morning fuss.

  2. Consistent temperature & pressure – Separate brew and steam boilers mean stable extraction plus instant, powerful steam.

  3. Hands-free milk texturing – Automatic milk frothing (with adjustable temperature & texture) produces silky microfoam for latte art or cappuccinos.

  4. Speed & efficiency – Heat-up is quick, and you can brew and steam at the same time.

  5. Customisable settings – Easily tweak shot volume, milk temp, and grind size to match your taste or experiment with different beans.

  6. Premium build & design – Stainless-steel construction, solid portafilter, and high-quality parts built to last. Fairplay, the front of mine is a little worn now.

  7. Reduced learning curve – Balances automation with manual control, so you’re not facing the steep skill barrier of a purely manual machine. You can entirely use it auto-magically, or you can dial in your manual skills.

  8. Low ongoing cost per cup – Once you own it, café-style drinks cost only beans and milk, saving money compared to daily café runs. (My average cost is about $1.20 for a strong flat white including milk, power and average costs)

  9. Strong resale & support – Breville has excellent after-sales service and spare-parts availability, so repairs and maintenance are straightforward.

Breville have dropped the new Oracle and it’s sexy… more to come, soon.

Oh, and she’s full manual, too. ⚒
