I picked up a set of coffee scales from BangGood (See them here) and thought I'd do a short unbox+review of them.
A cheap set of Honana HN-MS1 scales from BangGood for $10.82 and the question is, will they work? Will they measure coffee presicely enough to help with your home barista setup? They're certainly not as accurate as some other brands that you spend a lot more on, but for a start up set in your kitchen, sure, give them a try.
You can get away without scales, but life + balance is much better if you just get some and make your coffee the same each and every time.
Then put it in a thermos and go wander in the bush...
Coffee, anyone?
