iPhone camera better than a Canon 5DMkII!

Yes, that's right folks... You heard it first, the new iPhone V4 camera is on par with the "RED" one camera... It's Amazing Leica like quality will far surpass anything that's currently being sold within the consumer dSLR market - Hell, who needs a Nikon D3s when you can have this amazing quality from something you can fit into your pocket! OK, I may be slightly talking the iPhone up, maybe just a little...

Whilst this is a pretty snappy image, if you view it full size - it's not even close to a current day compact camera's quality.

But honestly, the two articles I've seen today are just plain misleading.

You can have the biggest sensor in the world, but if you have an aperture / lens the size of a gnat's bunghole - you're not going to get far... You know, Wired Magazine, that photography is about light, right? Well, when you started comparing pixel size with a Nikon D3, had you been smoking crack? It doesn't wash - it doesn't matter...

I have the full resolution images from the Apple website for you to look at folks... They're amazing - For a camera phone! -- This is the little phrase that all of these sites are skipping.. Have you guys been taking photos with a 0.95MP Canon A5? That's almost better quality!...

Whilst the camera on the new iPhone 4 is VERY good for a camera phone camera, it's not even close to actual current day dedicated digital cameras... Evening Standard, Wired... get a grip!
